The UKOOA Task 3 focuses on factors that may cause cuttings pile changes (e.g. pile size and composition) with time primarily due to natural processes. Task 3 has been organised in several sub-tasks that separately and combined seek to give input to the main objectives of the study. This report summarises the findings of these sub-tasks, produced jointly by the project participants, RF, SINTEF, ERTSL and AEAT. The main objective has been to generate time series data on factors that affect cuttings pile characteristics, feeding relevant data into a mathematical model (task 4) that predicts the fate of cuttings piles with time.en_US
